Jasmine & Tianshu’s fairy tale Garfield Park wedding was the stuff of dreams.
Jasmine looked stunning in a dress fit for a princess, accessorized perfectly with her gorgeous ivory & gold Oscar de la Renta shoes and crystal studded headpiece while Tianshu dazzled in his dapper blue suit.
The lovely couple planned a gorgeous soiree for their guests, many of whom came from China to celebrate the union. On the day of the wedding, the Conservatory was in full bloom, the sun was shining and Emmy Star Brown’s ceremony backdrop and calligraphed mirrors stole the show. Flowers for Dreams created lush floral arrangements with fruits such as grapes and figs that paired nicely with the light blue-gray, gold, green and blush pink color scheme.
One of my favorite elements of the wedding besides Jasmine & Tianshu’s adorable son Laurence coming down the aisle was the fun and creative favors left for guests at their place setting — test tubes filled with jasmine tea! Jasmine tea from Jasmine! Another showstopper was Emily Rose Ink’s watercolor botanic inspired stationery and paper goods, which tied everything together nicely. Also featured was a Sugarfixe naked cake adorned with floral and vintage glassware from Chicago Vintage Weddings.
After a sweet ceremony, Jasmine had us all in tears as she gave a beautiful speech to her family and friends during the reception. Shortly thereafter, the couple did a choreographed dance that had the crowd in awe.
To say that I loved photographing this wedding is a complete and total understatement. The love surrounding Jasmine & Tianshu moved me to tears and it was such a joy and privilege to document this special day. Many blessings J & T.
