Neo Gothic Bridal Editorial

I love this time of year. Fall is incredibly inspiring with all the changing colors, textures & chillier temperatures.

Joanna, of Joanna B. Artistry, & I were so inspired by Fall that we decided to create a neo-gothic bridal editorial. Burgundy, Marsala, rich Pinot Noir, lush greens, lilac & royal purple flowed throughout the design elements. We wanted the shoot to feel moody, dark, evocative & unlike anything we have seen before in bridal trends.

We incorporated textures, color, mixed metals & unique elements to create an almost old estate or haunted mansion feel. Sarah, our stylist, used found antiques from her own personal collection as well as a Gothic candelabrum; brass candle holders & a stunning draped fruit display to set the romantic tone of the event. Her unique place setting & crystal glassware completed the bohemian Gothic tablescape.

The sweets table from Toni Patisserie is one of my all time favorites. Her naked chocolate cake with raspberry filling with floral embellishments really took center stage. She also incorporated macaroons, linzer cookies and a chocolate dipped cookie in our color scheme to add dimension to the table. The plates, mini forks, display vessels & silver candelabra pulled everything together in such a lovely way.

Our signature cocktail, the Solstice 75 from RM Champagne, (available on their menu) is a light & refreshing blend of eucalyptus & black pepper infused Aviation Gin, Cassis & Cava. Simply delicious & perfect for a bohemian Gothic affair!

Photos from this editorial can also be seen featured on Storyboard Weddings & Burnetts Boards.
