Intimate weddings are so romantic; especially when they take place at the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool in Lincoln Park, a picturesque natural wonderland, nestled close by Chicago’s lake front.
Amy & Ruben married on a chilly day in May surrounded by their immediate family. The Bride wore a beautiful Zara dress with accompanying H&M blazer and had little flowers perfectly placed into her hair. Our handsome Groom, rocked a Sarar suit & tie and Steve Madden shoes.
This timeless ceremony goes to show that a wedding can be as simple or elaborate as you want. All that matters is the love.
One of my favorite moments of the ceremony, besides the vows, was seeing Amy’s father walk her to meet Ruben. Rather, it was that moment before they took a single step that had me tearing up.
The moment before everything starts at a ceremony… I LOVE that moment. The excitement is palpable & filled with tremendous emotion.
The heaviness and tremendous love of Fathers, parents & loved ones ceremonially giving the Bride away…
Brides taking a deep breathe in, savoring those still, quiet seconds before it all begins…
Grooms nervously awaiting the first sight of their beloved…
It’s just so magical to witness…
I am glad to have captured it for this lovely couple.
As you will see, the wedding had an uninvited guest who couldn’t help but share in the festivities… a lone goose! It stayed the entire ceremony, chattering away as the Amy & Ruben said their vows. He/She provided quite a few laughs.
