Phew! What a whirlwind!
This being my VERY FIRST bridal show, I had a lot of anxious energy leading up to the event (as you can imagine). I wanted to showcase how much my work has evolved over the last year and really BRING IT! If you don’t go big for Martha Stewart then you should just go home right?!
I had the good fortune of meeting some amazing couples, ridiculously talented vendors & two of my idols: Darcy Miller (of Martha Stewart Weddings) & Lauren Conrad.
Thank you to each & person who entered my engagement shoot giveaway! I am currently reading through your amazing, romantic & hilarious love stories. The winner will be announced soon!
What do you think of my booth?! Let me know in the comments!
My booth! I wanted it to feel earthy, whimsical & romantic. Lil Epic Design made me this incredible paper flower backdrop
I used my Dad’s old cameras to add a vintage feel to the space. It was nice to have a piece if him with me that day
My friend Lovely of May Floral dressed up the space with some gorgeous floral arrangements
My wild flower seed favors were a HUGE hit! I guess it justifies the hours upon hours it took to make them 😉
Talented calligrapher, Laura of Laura Hooper Calligraphy, sent me some pretty things for couples to incorporate to their parties, showers & weddings. She has a bevy of incredible products & offers cute laser cut drink stirrers, cake toppers, signs & even logos. The sign on my backdrop is a Laura Hooper custom project! Check her out!
I could NOT have done any of this without my dream team! My fiance Dan listened to me agonize about how many fliers to print, what to do for favors, watched as our tiny love cottage was taken over by crafts, photography projects & props and helped me transport a rooms worth of STUFF to the Ritz Carlton. He even helped with designing the space. He is my biggest fan & couldn’t imagine a better person to spend my life with.
My best friends, Sandy & Stephanie are my world! They also endured my chatter about all things Martha Stewart for a good month straight & helped me showcase the Roots of Life experience at the show. I feel very lucky to have such supportive, incredible friends that are willing to help make my dreams come true. They deserve medals for the breakdown of my space. Seriously. Getting everything plus the backdrop & floral (plus 4 people) into my car was…. interesting. We celebrated our success with Portillos & a fancy bottle of Champagne. It was heaven.
Revel Decor designed a beautiful tablescape for the event. Stunning right? I LOVE the little cakes for each place setting!
I had a few minutes to roam around before the event started & I was able to snap a few pics of some vendor tables
Baublerella is a fashion forward company offering women a portable (& stylish) jewelry cleaner they can use anytime, anywhere
Elysia of Elysia Root Cakes displayed some seriously gorgeous cakes at the show! Which one is your favorite?
Check out this new Chicago venue, The Library Conference Suites @ 190 South LaSalle!
My girl Loreen of Reenie Rose displays some of her creations! She does bridal bouquet recreation paintings as well as custom signage for weddings & events
Last up with have a beautiful tablescape from Ashley of La Belle Fleur Events
I am still on could 9!
A BIG thank you to Love Bird Events, The Wedding Library & Martha Stewart Weddings for all their hard work in putting together this event & for including Roots of Life Photography in all the beautiful madness. It was truly the highlight of my career to date & I am honored & thankful to have been a part of it.
