Emerald St. Patricks Day Wedding, The Black Tie Bride

This editorial photo shoot features a bold color palette (green, silver & onyx) & FOUR Mignonette Bridal gowns, styled to accommodate any wedding theme. My goal for this shoot was to take one color palette & show brides how versatile it could be with limitless bridal looks. Here we showcase a few twists in styling: classic with bold accessories, elegant with chic accents, glamorous (Gatsby era) as well as romantic & bold colors.

This shoot wouldn’t be possible without a ridiculously talented team of vendors. I want to thank each one of them for making this vision a reality.

Check out our St. Patrick’s Day feature on The Black Tie Bride!

Let me introduce you to Sarah Elizabeth, a gorgeous Mignonette Bridal white gown with a sweetheart neckline styled here with delicate hunter green gloves & a grey cozy shawl. This dress can easily accommodate any bridal look or trend. We styled it with a variety of options to showcase it as a beautiful white canvas where the possibilities are endless!

The Left Bank completely spoiled us with gorgeous baubles for this shoot. They have something for every bride. I could spend hours there looking at all their incredible pieces.

Our black cocktail ring, aptly named ‘Nottingham’ by Trumpet & Horn, is a perfect Deco inspired piece, perfect for the woman who isn’t afraid to try something outside the box.

Miya, of Layers of Loveliness, created a beautiful calligraphy invitation set with two different envelope options along with place cards for the table.

Here we have a Trumpet & Horn stunner resting beautifully in ‘The Gardener’ emerald Mrs. Box. This art-deco engagement ring features diamonds nestled between two triangular emeralds & goes by the name of ‘Weatherford’.

How great are these ring names?!

Signature Cocktail:

Winter White Cosmopolitan

1 Cup white cranberry juice

2 oz Cointreau

4 oz Vodka

Shake well & pour into a martini glass

This is the Thalia gown, a Gatsby-style stunner with an intricate silver pattern, beautiful shoulder applique & deep low back line. To complete the look, hair/makeup artist Debra Petrielli created a chic updo & topped it off by using the ‘Cosmo Art Deco Headwrap’ from The Left Bank.

Our handsome groom looks sophisticated in his custom Nicholas Joseph suit jacket & matching hunter green tie.

The décor for this shoot centered around a lavish table-scape featuring antique Nimble Well crystal (glassware, sweets table platters & vases), chic Kate Spade Plates & lovely BBJ Linens. A perfect blend of vintage & modern!

Our talented florist Casey, of Flowers by Cassandra, breathed life into the vision with her stunning floral arrangements, bouquets & boutonniere. Her styled crystal candelabra centerpiece looks like perfection in the large space.  A true masterpiece!

These two looks are more playful and adventurous. The show stopping Emeraude halter dress combines both emerald and hunter green layers  of fabric & is styled to perfection using The Left Bank’s stunning ‘Marisol Comb’ & emerald earrings. Our groom looks very dapper in his Nicholas Joseph emerald jacket & matching black bow tie.

The Women’s Club of Evanston served as a classic & regal backdrop for the shoot with a slight Marie Antoinette feel. The powder blue walls and deep emerald curtains blended seamlessly with the look & feel I was going for. The club features an epic ballroom with high, arched ceilings and dark hardwood floors & offers couples a variety of entertaining options for their special day.  The sun, tea & piano rooms make for an elegant event experience. Brides can linger in the boudoir style powder room while getting ready on their special day, feeling like royalty.

Our sweets table showcased the incredible talent of baker Elysia Root, of Elysia Root Cakes. Her silver painted cookies; mini wedding cakes & show-stopping black lake cake highlighted the winter theme and elegantly tied everything together in a GORGEOUS hunter green bow.

Beautiful serving platters from Nimble Well.

Finally, we have the Onyx gown styled here in classic fashion, a la Audrey Hepburn. The ‘Gatsby Tiara’ & black earrings from The Left Bank complete the look along with Debra’s classically painted red lip.
